The Safflicks Sapphic Film Festival is a hybrid celebration of award-winning sapphic cinema, taking place throughout October in partnership with venues and organisations in London, alongside a virtual programme on Lesflicks 10-23 October. Carefully curated to connect films with the audiences and communities they resonate with most, this year's programme explores coming out, identity, family, relationships, faith, feminism, biodiversity and belonging. Coinciding with International Coming Out Day, Safflicks brings people together through powerful storytelling, meaningful conversations and authentic wlw and LGBTQ+ representation, both on screen and beyond.

In addition to the virtual festival on Lesflicks 10-23 October, there are a number of in-person screenings throughout October in London, UK. Full details of all events can be found here.

We will also have some awards at the end of the festival; in the final week we will email all ticket holds a short survey. The awards on offer are:

• Most Watched (based on number of views on Lesflicks between 10 and 23 October 2026)

• Best short (voted by the viewing audience)

• Best feature (voted by the viewing audience)

• Best documentary (voted by the viewing audience)

• Best of Fest (most popular film, voted by the viewing audience across Lesflicks and all events)

• Jury Favourite (voted for by the Safflicks curation team)
