Lesflicks Film Clubs

LesFlicks Film Clubs are hosted events for all LBQ women and non-binary babes to come together and share their love of queer film

Join our friendly group of lesbian & bisexual women for our monthly hosted film and social events in various locations across the UK.

Every time a lesbian film shows in a cinema and seats remain empty this reinforces the current myth that there is no audience for lesbian films as seat sales get reported back to the distributor. This makes it harder for future lesbian films to get distribution. We are working hard to disprove this by promoting lesbian cinema screenings when we find them and also providing hosted socials to break down some of the barriers that are leading to these empty seats. #WeAreAnAudience We also sometimes have curated film clubs where we have a regular venue, and we can offer a dedicated women-only screening and choose the film on offer. Find out below what #Lesflickspopupfilmclubs and #Lesflickscuratedfilmclubs are taking place.

Join the club

If you are a lesbian or bisexual woman or non-binary babe and would like to join our film clubs, please sign up here.

PAST EVENTS

In the first 9 months of running Lesflicks Film Clubs (April 2019 – December 2019), Lesflicks ran or participated in 34 events, supported 74 films (features, shorts and web series) and filled 830 seats!

Not bad from nothing! 2020 started with a bang, with 10 film clubs in the first 9 weeks. Film clubs were then paused due to COVID 19 and lockdown in the UK.

Film clubs will resume around the UK when it is safe to do so. Join our newsletter to tell us where you want a film club, and so you hear when we start back up.
