Maybe Today

Drama, 3 mins

The lines between reality and fantasy become blurred, when a woman who has feelings for her best friend imagines what their relationship could be if she acted on them.

An inspiring tale or what you can achieve if you put yourself out there

Maybe Today is a short film from director Sarah Rotella. It is a beautiful 3 minute story set to an amazing track that follows a girl through a series of events where she has the opportunity to show a girl how she feels. From driving in the car, to sitting outside a party in the dark and sitting in the park in the sun.

This film is a lesson to us all to take a risk, make that move, tell that girl how you feel. It cleverly uses the music track throughout along with minimal background noise such as people at the party or birds singing in the trees. This is a good way to keep quality high and costs low on short films, and in this instance it works perfectly. No dialogue is needed because the song lyrics say everything you need to know.

The soundtrack is Pretty Pictures which is written and performed by Keelin O’Hara (@oharakeelin).
