Five lesbian films to watch this Halloween

You’d be forgiven for thinking that all films showing women loving women are romcoms… well think again!

In 2018, just 8% of the mainstream UK cinema was comedy/romcoms; that doesn’t give much chance of a independent lesbian/bisexual romcom film getting a cinema spot. Filmmakers seem to be realising this, plus that there is appetite for a broader range of film genres and storylines and so there are good options if you want to see women loving women on screen but can’t face another romcom.

As it is Halloween we decided to pull together 5 films that show women loving women but that offer more than the traditional lesbian romcom.
