Sometimes it is understood that there is not enough lesbian content to watch, but here we are sharing one more of our lists with recommendations for you to expand your collection with a combination of new and not so new titles. But be mindful that some of these plots may be too dark.
HEAVENLY CREATURES (1994)
Based on a true story, directed by Peter Jackson. Starring Melanie Lynskey and Kate Winslet. It’s the early 1950s, there really isn’t much of a choice when you are a teenager in love — once you get caught, you don’t have a say. Your parents take you to therapy and try to change your ways. But Juliet and Pauline won’t have it, the girls will plot revenge.
Synopsis: Two teenage girls share a unique bond; their parents, concerned that the friendship is too intense, separate them, and the girls take revenge.
Based on a true story, directed by Patty Jenkins. Starring Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci, a prostitute falls for an innocent girl. Alas, things get too dangerous when Aileen starts killing for money to survive and provide for her girl.
Synopsis: Based on the life of Aileen Wuornos, a Daytona Beach prostitute who became a serial killer.
SISTER MY SISTER (1994)
A Nancy Meckler film recounts the incident that took place in 1933 in Le Mans, France. The film stars Joely Richardson and Jodhi May as the sisters who worked for a wealthy family and brutally murdered Madame and Mademoiselle Danzard after burning a blouse with an iron that cut off the electricity. But was that the real motive behind the killings?
Synopsis: Two sisters separated in childhood reunite years later as servants at a household in France. Their happiness to be reunited spirals into an incestuous relationship.
Based on a true story, directed by Craig William Macneill. Starring Chloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart. In 1892, Mr. and Mrs. Borden were murdered in Fall River, Massachusetts, and the main suspect was none other than one of Mr. Borden’s daughters. What could have led Miss Lizzie Borden to kill her own father?
Synopsis: A psychological thriller based on the infamous 1892 murders of Lizzie Andrew Borden’s family.

They’re perfect for binge-watching because they’re the kind of stories that unplug you as you take a moment to analyze everything about your life. We understand that some of these characters went too far, and it’s easy to get judgmental, but we can all learn something from their stories. Have you seen any of these movies?
