Masters of Love

“Even if you watched simply to root for the lesbian couple, you end up hoping everyone gets their happy ending…”
Directed and written by Matt Roberts, “Masters of Love” is a comedy full of complicated relationships which focuses on four people: Niall, Josh, Emmy, and her fiancé Samantha. Niall (Ciarán Dowd) struggles to find a secure relationship as he seeks flings to fill that void. Josh (Owen Roberts) has just found out his long-term girlfriend has been cheating on him and Emmy (Sarah Oven) wonders if a married life with Samantha (Eleanor Fanyinka) is really what she wants. Josh and Niall are close friends and decide to move in together; a decision that will create issues later in the film. Together they go on their separate journeys, which sometimes overlap and create tension in their own friendships. As they navigate their own lives, they find that maybe some relationships are more important than others.
Although I’ve talked a bit about the movie, there are many elements and moments that are crucial to the story that you definitely don’t want to miss out on and many cute scenes of Emmy and Samantha that would make any lesbian viewer happy. If you’re looking for stories of lesbian couples and characters without the traumatic coming out scenes or homophobia, and simply want to see lesbians just live and lead a life of their own, then this film is right for you. This movie will be available to watch on the Lesflicks VOD Platform from multiple countries so check it out if you can!
